Description
Just as the sunrise after a rainy night a group of kids started digging out Waimea River. This is the first flow (or inch) of what of what eventually turns into a three-foot standing wave that then puts many smiles on the faces of those who dug it out.
Frame By Jen Homcy: This piece of termite eaten Koa was given to me by a guy in Kapolei who had inherited it because of the infestation. He put it in his shed and fumigated it, but realized it was not structurally sound. The white part of the wood is called sapwood because it grows when the tree is a sapling, and not as dense so it's very susceptible to pests and trauma.
